Giovanni Koromilias a very well known name in the Hospitality Industry, he only believes in freshness of ingredients and simplicity in his cooking. Giovanni was born in Crete, Greece, and raised in Milan, Italy has the best of both worlds to offer. With an Italian mother and a Greek father, Giovanni's started his interest in cooking at a very young age. Pursuing his culinary dreams in Milan and London working under his mentor Chef Alberico Pernati, Giovanni has become of the well known chefs in the market.
Arriving in Kuala Lumpur 12 years ago, Giovanni has not only created the best dining experience in town such as Scallinis, Flams Restaurants and Mezza Notte. Gaining a fast experience in the Malaysian way of eating, he decided that it was time to take a step further by creating yet another award winning restaurant of his own, Sassorosso,
and now pairing with his best friend of 30 years
they opened Giovino.

Giorgos Kalaizakis from Crete, Greece has loved cooking since the age of 7 years. His love for food has set him far apart from any other Greek chefs in town. He believes by preparing the same meals over and over again, it will continue to taste better every time. Giorgos is the sort of Chef who would walk into a kitchen and come out with a new creation that will sure make any taste buds dance.
Having his own restaurant back in Greece called the Players, he too believes in using the freshest ingredients in his cooking. Giorgos, as a rather traditional Greek, loves to create and make new creations from scratch following the example of his mama back home. Giorgos came to Malaysia 3 years ago to learn the Malaysian culture and knowing Greek food is one of the most accepted cuisine in the world he and Giovanni decides to gives us a wonderful pairing of Italian and Greek cuisine.
